While Avocet’s approach is all about fun and
exhilaration, safety is always our paramount concern.
Guests are fully briefed on the safety arrangements
and the local conditions. We strongly encourage
guests to wear buoyancy aids on the water at all times,
and lifejackets and helmets are available for children.
The enclosed nature of Nonsuch Bay helps make it a
secure environment. We operate 5 metre Humber Assault
safety boats with 40hp Yamaha outboards. Safety boat
drivers and instructors on the water are in touch with the
beach manager by Icom VHF radios. Where appropriate
we attach floats to the top of masts to reduce the
risk of full inversion after capsizing.
